From the Med to the Antipodes in one beer and you have Easy As, an NZ pilsner that, in terms of colour, heads towards clear copper territory. Distinctive Kiwi hops (Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka) lean more into the attributes found in newer NZ varieties – rounder and fuller – so presumably Nectaron is pulling its weight.
The solitary ale, takes its Fool's Gold name from the Simpsons' Golden Promise malt at its centre. It delivers on the name appearance-wise, while crisp, grainy aromas and flavours dominate, complete with a little honey as if drizzled onto cereal.
