A triploid aroma type developed in collaboration with New Zealand’s Plant & Food Research. Nectaron® Brand HORT4337 is a full sister to Waimea. Nectaron® is at home in any modern beer style where punchy tropical fruit characters are desirable. Its distinctive passionfruit/pineapple character provides an upfront sensation of sweet tropical fruits and it has a unique biotransformation that is noticeably different between both American and English ale yeast strains. Nectaron® shines best when used late or when dry hopping. Not for the faint hearted, Nectaron® delivers a consistent dose of high quality tropical hop aroma every time.
CHARACTERISTICS
Intense tropical passionfruit and citrus aroma characters. Pineapple, passionfruit, melon, peach and grapefruit make this stunning variety reminiscent of nectar from the gods.
