Since 1862, when James Parker Simpson founded his first maltings in Alnwick, Northumberland, Simpsons Malt has been a family business. Today, the 5th generation drives the brand forward, together with father, Simon Simpson OBE.
As an independent, family-run business, they invest in those areas of the business where they see room for improvement or innovation. Their teams at both Berwick and Tivetshall still employ the long-standing principles that have passed from generation to generation to make the best possible malt. Like the heritage behind the brand, so every delivery that leaves their maltings is fully traceable.
